COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Red IPA with Gladfields Ale, Rye, Shepherds Delight, Crystal & Aurora. Candied Ginger. Hops - Simcoe, Centennial, Citra, Motueka, Pacific Jade. Yeast - WLP001."
This kit contains all of the grains, hops and yeast required to make a clone of an internationally famous beer.
You will need a basic All Grain brewery setup or a BIAB setup to use this recipe. The instructions below are for the standard All Grain methods but you can easily translate to BIAB.
This recipe assumes a brewhouse efficiency of 70%.
Please note that this recipe is in no way authorised by the Emmersons Brewery. It's simply our best effort of a faithful reproduction, suitable for home brewing, as an homage to an awesome beer.
Depending on stock and hop availability at time of ordering we may have to substitute.
All recipes Contain Yeast nutrient and finings in either the 20min, 15 min or 10 min addition.

4.40 kg Gladfields American Ale Malt
0.56 kg Gladfield Vienna Malt
0.29 kg Gladfiled Aurora Malt
0.29 kg Gladfield Rye Malt
0.29 kg Gladfield Red Back
0.29 kg Gladfield Sheperds Delight
Mash in at 72.4C with 16.01L water, rest for 60 min at 66C.
Sparge with 16.42L water at 75.6C
Preboil size should be 26.29L.
75 minute Boil
Hops:
14g Pacific Jade at 60 min boil
25g Centennial at 20 min boil
70g Candied Ginger (not supplied) at 10 min boil
50g Simcoe at 10 min boil
50g Citra Steep/Whirlpool 10 min
50g Centennial Dry hop 4 days
50g Simcoe Dry hop 4 days
25g Motueka Dry hop 4 days
