Clone Kit for Te Aro Brewing Co. Grapefruit A-Go-Go IIPA
This kit contains all of the grains, hops and yeast required to make a clone.
GRAPEFRUIT NOT SUPPLIED - you will require the zest and juice from 4 grapefruit
You will need a basic All Grain brewery setup or a BIAB setup to use this recipe. The instructions below are for the standard All Grain methods but you can easily translate to BIAB.
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer made specially for #PBE15, by Te Aro Brewing Company - 'Grapefruit Gulpin'' IIPA!
Based on a beer many love from San Diego, but taken to the next level:
"A big clean west coast IIPA malt base forms the foundation for big US hops (Warrior, Columbus, Centennial, Citra, Mosaic, Chinook & some NZ Nelson Sauvin). Grapefruit zest and juice was then added late in the boil and whirlpool to give it an even bigger citrus kick!"
This recipe assumes a brewhouse efficiency of 70%
All recipes Contain Yeast nutrient and finings in either the 20min, 15 min or 10 min addition.

ABV: 8.5%

7.2Kg Gladfield American Ale
.40kg Gladfield Gladiator
.40kg Gladfield Light Cystal
.40kg Gladfield Toffee
Mash in at 74.6C with 21.91L water, rest for 75 min at 65.6C.
Sparge with 12.32L water at 75.6C
Preboil size should be 26L.
60 minute Boil
Hops:
23g Pacific Jade at 60 min
23g Columbus at 20 min
4 x Grapefruit - Juice and Zest (not supplied) at 15 min
23g Mosaic at 5 min
23g Chinook at 1 min
23g Mosaic at Whirpool
23g Mosaic Dry hopped for 4 days
23g Nelson Sauvin Dry hopped for 4 days
