"An oatmeal stout with 25.0% oat-based ingredients and a nice touch of gourmet coffee. A beer that goes extremely well with breakfast."

This recipe assumes a brewhouse efficiency of 70% (due to the large amounts of oats).

3.9 kg Gladfields American Ale Malt

1.90 kg Flaked Oats

.42 kg Wyermann CaraAmber

.4kg Gladfield Brown Malt

.40kg Gladfield Light Chocolate

.40kg Gladfield Roast Barley

.21 Kg Gladfield Manuka Smoked Malt

.21 Gladfield Dark Choclate Malt

Mash in at 73.1C with 20.46L water, rest for 60 min at 67C.

Sparge with 13.64L water at 75.6C

Preboil size should be 26.29L.

75 minute Boil


50g Centennial at 60 min

25g Cascade at 60 min

50g Cascade at 15 min

50G Centennial at 5 min

10g Cascade at 5 min

50g coffee cold steeped in 400ml of water for 24 hours added 3 days prior to bottling (optional/not included)
