Clone kit for Liberty Yakima Monster
This recipe will be supplied with Lallemand BRY97 yeast until further notice.
This kit contains all of the grains, hops and yeast required to make a clone of an internationally famous beer.
You will need a basic All Grain brewery setup or a BIAB setup to use this recipe. The instructions below are for the standard All Grain methods but you can easily translate to BIAB.
Please note that this recipe is in no way authorised by Liberty Brewing. It's simply our best effort of a faithful reproduction, suitable for home brewing, as an homage to an awesome beer.

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Get those images of Godzilla and Mothra out of your head! I know you were thing it, but this beer has nothing to do with Japan whatsoever. Yakima is actually a region in the state of Washington USA where some of Joseph Wood’s favorite hops are grown. This monster of a Pale Ale showcases several of those hops. "It’s a easy drinking beer, flavorsome enough for your father ’n law to exclaim "wow - that’s fruity!" yet complex enough for any green blooded hop-head to appreciate." - Joseph Wood, Liberty Brewer.

This recipe assumes a brewhouse efficiency of 70%.
All recipes Contain Yeast nutrient and finings in either the 20min, 15 min or 10 min addition.

5.7 kg Gladfields American Ale Malt
0.56 kg Caramalt
Mash in at 73.1C with 16.33L water, rest for 60 min at 66.7C.
Sparge with 15.76L water at 75.6C
Preboil size should be 26.29L.
75 minute Boil
Hops:
20g Pacific Jade at 60 min
25g Amarillo at 10 min
25g Simcoe at 5 min
25g Amarillo whirlpooled for 10 min
25g Simcoe whirlpooled for 10 min
50g Amarillo Dry hopped 4 days before bottling
50g Simcoe Dry hopped 4 days before bottling
